Terms of service

1. About us

Mugology is the trading name of Jack Allen, a sole trader.

Business address: 17 School Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP31 3SB
Email: mugologyltd@gmail.com
Website: https://mugology.store

“We”, “us” and “our” mean Mugology. These terms apply to purchases through our website, including retail and custom business orders.

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Your purchase contract is with Mugology, not Shopify.

2. Products and descriptions

We aim to describe and display our products accurately. Screen settings may cause slight differences in displayed colours, but products must match their description and meet applicable legal standards.

Please check the product description, quantity, colour and any personalisation before ordering.

3. Ordering and payment

You must provide accurate contact, delivery and payment information and be authorised to use your chosen payment method.

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we email you confirming acceptance of your order. An automated acknowledgement of receipt is not, by itself, acceptance.

If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and promptly refund any payment taken.

If we discover a material pricing or description error before acceptance, we will contact you so you can choose whether to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel for a full refund. We will not charge additional amounts without your agreement.

4. Prices and delivery charges

Consumer prices include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges and optional upgrades are shown before you complete checkout.

Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.

5. Personalised and custom business orders

You are responsible for checking names, spelling, uploaded artwork, quantities and other instructions before submitting your order. If we provide a proof for approval, please check it carefully.

You must own, or have permission to use, any artwork, photographs, logos or other content you supply. You grant us permission to use that content only as necessary to fulfil your order. Ownership remains with you or the relevant rights holder.

Personalised products and goods made to your specifications are excluded from change-of-mind cancellation and returns. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, incorrect or not as described.

Contact us promptly if you need to change a custom order. We will explain whether changes remain possible and obtain your agreement to any additional costs before proceeding.

6. Delivery

Production and delivery estimates are shown on the relevant product pages or provided when ordering. A delivery upgrade does not shorten production time unless expressly stated.

We will deliver within the agreed period or, where no period is agreed, within 30 days. If a delay occurs, we will contact you. Your statutory rights concerning late or failed delivery remain unaffected.

For consumer orders, goods remain our responsibility until you, or someone you nominate, physically receives them, except where you independently appoint a carrier we have not offered.

Please contact us about missing or damaged deliveries so we can investigate and resolve the issue.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Our Return and refund policy explains our 30-day return offer, applicable exclusions, return postage and refund arrangements.

For eligible UK consumer purchases, you normally have 14 days after delivery to notify us that you wish to cancel, followed by another 14 days to return the goods.

These statutory cancellation rights do not generally apply to purchases made for business purposes. Any separately agreed business-order terms will be provided before purchase.

Nothing in these terms or our policies removes rights you have under applicable law.

8. Faulty or incorrect goods

We are responsible for supplying goods that meet applicable legal requirements.

If your order is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, contact mugologyltd@gmail.com. We will provide an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable return costs where we require the goods back.

9. Website use and intellectual property

You must not misuse our website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or submit unlawful content.

Our website content and original designs belong to us or our licensors. Buying a product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights. This does not prevent ordinary use, gifting or lawful resale of purchased goods.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy policy explains how personal information is handled, including through Shopify.

11. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude responsibility for faulty goods or other matters where the law makes us responsible.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Complaints and applicable law

Please send complaints to mugologyltd@gmail.com, including your order number and details of the issue.

These terms are governed by English law. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home courts that applicable law provides.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The version agreed when your order was placed applies to that order unless we agree otherwise with you.
